Google Bomb
During a bout of shameless time-wasting the other day, some friends and I decided to pick upon that lowly form of internet life, the automatic phrase generator. E-Bay has a running ad on the Google search page ’sponsored link’ sidebar, that seems to parrot back any phrase or saying typed in as a search. We wondered if it would really parrot back anything, and, having realised what an easy target this was for our foolish pranks, decided to do it anyway.
It turns out the sponsored ad really isn’t very discriminating. Or maybe everything really is a commodity these days!
